COST:

  • ALL THREE TESTS $50.00
  • TOEFL TEST ONLY $40.00
  • TIMED ESSAY ONLY $15.00
  • ORAL TEST ONLY $15.00

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Completion of the test application form. This can be done in person or by mail. (Test application forms done by mail must include: WSU Proof of Application, the applicant's full name, complete address, telephone number, and status (Student must specify whether they are seeking ELI, Undergraduate or Graduate Admission ).
    NOTE: TOEFL® test-takers at the OAKLAND CENTER in Farmington Hills will be registered on site on the day of the test. For more information: Call Dr. Bruce Morgan at  (313) 577-8072  (313) 577-8072 .
  2. Proof of WSU application on file. The ELI only tests students who have applied to Wayne State University. Applicants must show proof (provided by the Office of Admissions) that they have a current application on file with Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, or the English Language Institute.
  3. Payment of fee (check or money order).
  4. Copy of TOEFL®, TWE or MELAB scores if not taking the TOEFL and/or TWE. All applicants must take all three tests unless evidence is provided of a passing score on a previous test. A copy of TOEFL®, TWE or MELAB scores must be attached to the test application.
