American Pronunciation for Accent Reduction and Clear Communication - Main Campus
This course is designed to address the communication needs of the advanced level, non-native English-speaking professional and is intended for individuals who want to reduce pronunciation errors in their spontaneous as well as prepared speech.
TOEFL Preparation - Oakland Center Campus
This course is designed to help non-native English speakers understand and improve their scores on paper-based (PBT) and Internet-based (iBT) TOEFL tests and the test of spoken English (TSE). The tests are widely used as comprehensive assessments of language proficiency for English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) learners.
Written Communication - Main Campus
Through reading and writing of complex texts, advanced English-as-a-Second Language Students will work on improving their ability to use American organizational style by writing a variety of essays. In addition, students will expand their understanding of using American English grammar and punctuation. Students will use self and peer evaluations of essays to identify and work on their weaknesses.
